David Carvalho at TEDx Vitosha: Why accepting LESS will make you hope MORE?
Why accepting LESS will make you hope MORE? How interactive human-machine experiences will ultimately help people to reach even higher in their dreams and goals?
On 25 January, David Carvalho, SVP of Pininfarina’s Industrial & Experience Design BU, attended TEDxVitosha 2020, Azaryan Theater, Sofia, to give a speech about the challenges to be faced for the future and the common good. The need for doing good business from an economic point of view is contraposed by the necessity of connecting to nature and re-connect to people from a social perspective.
The speech startes from the old paradigm focused on economic growth, which can be summarized by the principles of High Technology, Higher Performance and Highest Autonomy, to dwell then on ethical issues and the challenges of today’s world, therefore complementing the paradigm with the new principles of Low Energy Use, Lower Resources Needed and Lowest Impact on Earth.
