Vasari
A new concept of gate
The Project
SAIMA Sicurezza, operating in the electronics and mechanics market, chooses Pininfarina to design a new concept of gate. Vasari is a motorized bidirectional gate designed by Pininfarina for SAIMA, equipped with an access control system made of two or more machine bodies that allow the passage opening/closing through the movement of the glasses. Vasari allows the client the highest level of customization by choosing the colours of the elements as doors, lateral frame and central frame according to the aesthetic needs of the building.
The entrance and reception are the business card of a building and as it said Oscar Wilde “you never get a second chance to make a first impression” for this reason we have identified Pininfarina as the best partner to create a pedestrian gate that is no longer a barrier to entry but an object of design and furniture to welcome guests.
The Way
A natural and pleasant experience
Vasari, with its innovative and elegant design by Pininfarina, aims to overturn the paradigm of passage, disconnecting itself from its pure function as a barrier. It is conceived to be the beginning of an experience for those who cross it and, with its timeless design by Pininfarina, creates a connection between exterior and interior. Thanks to the mix of competences in user experience, industrial design and architecture, Pininfarina was able to design a gate that favours the flow of people making the experience natural and pleasant.
The Idea
Vasari wants to adapt to buildings of different nature from subways to offices to luxury buildings through a sophisticated, extremely flexible and customizable design.
We are proud of this collaboration with SAIMA. Vasari transforms the gate’s crossing in a natural and pleasant experience facilitating the access of people and, thus creating a natural connection between the outdoor and indoor space” says Nicola Girotti, Head of Industrial Design.
