Course Overview

The Pininfarina Architecture Summer Course offers an immersive exploration of cutting-edge architectural tools and conceptual approaches.

Structured around Pininfarina's core architectural services, the program focuses on Concept Design, User Experience (UX) definition, and Spatial Coordination. Participants will learn to develop architectural proposals that align with site information and project briefs while creating multisensory spatial experiences.
The course includes hands-on experience with advanced technological tools. By the end, students will have gained a comprehensive understanding of Pininfarina's architectural philosophy, emphasizing the creation of timeless beauty with distinct identity and impact.

Learning Objectives

The PAA 2025 aims to equip participants with a comprehensive set of skills reflecting Pininfarina's innovative approach to architectural design.

Key objectives include mastering Pininfarina's design philosophy, gaining advanced technological proficiency, developing concept design skills, understanding UX definition in architecture, learning spatial coordination and engineering integration, exploring cross-sector innovation, and honing presentation and communication skills.
The course also emphasizes sustainable and future-oriented design, as well as cultural and contextual awareness. These objectives prepare participants to apply Pininfarina's methodologies in their future architectural endeavors.

Two Weeks Structure

The course is divided into two intensive weeks, each focusing on distinct aspects of Pininfarina's architectural philosophy and methodology.

The first week introduces students to Pininfarina's history and core design principles through workshops on concept design and UX definition. The second week offers hands-on learning experiences in spatial coordination and artistic supervision, culminating in a project work where students apply their newly acquired knowledge. Final presentations are made to a panel of Pininfarina architects, providing valuable feedback from industry experts.

Program Description

PAA 2025 is a two-week residential summer course totaling 60 hours. It offers theoretical lessons on innovative design methodologies, practical workshops on advanced software and digital tools and networking opportunities with established industry professionals. The program is structured with daily workshops, lectures, company visits, and conferences, providing a comprehensive learning experience.

Pininfarina aims to attract the best talents in order to amplify the understanding of its outstanding technical excellence, making its own industrial philosophy a trademark for future collaborations.

Exceptionally for the first edition, our partners and sponsors are providing us scholarships that cover 100% of the Summer school fees. These scholarships are designed to support talented individuals who demonstrate outstanding potential in architectural design and innovation.

Academic Objectives and Target Audience

The program aims to train 12 young architects in advanced design skills and Design for Manufacturing and Assembly, launch an international network of emerging talents, and position Pininfarina as an educational hub for advanced architectural training.

The target audience includes architecture students, interior and product designers, and young professionals aged 22-34, selected based on academic excellence, project portfolio, motivation, and alignment with Pininfarina's cultural vision.
