Pininfarina of America is looking for a talented and ambitious Architect to join our Miami office. The ideal candidate should have strong design capabilities, excellent technical skills, and experience managing projects in a spectrum of programmatic scales and typologies.

Job Duties & Responsibilities:

  • To research, program, plan, design, and administer building projects for clients, applying knowledge of architectural design, construction detailing, construction procedures, zoning and building codes, and building materials and systems.

  • Produces conceptual plans, renderings, and documents.

  • Plans and programs layout of project(s); coordinates and integrates engineering elements into a unified design for client review and approval.

  • Produces construction documents in AutoCAD and Revit.

  • Working with the Project Managers, may direct, supervise, and check activities of workers engaged in preparing drawings and specification documents for the Conceptual Design Phase, Schematic Design Phase, and/or the Detailed Design Phase of a project.

  • Works in tandem with highly collaborative multi-disciplined design teams.

  • Assists in research and coordination of materials and products for project specifications.

  • Project time tracking using Resource Management by Smartsheet.

  • Other related duties as assigned.


Qualifications & Skills:

  • 3-6 years of proven experience with large-scale international projects.

  • Strong aesthetic design sensitivity with technical knowledge.

  • Experience in coordination with clients and consultants.

  • Excellent level of communication and organization, control, and management of the project budget.

  • Ability to articulate design concepts precisely, comprehensibly, and in a graphically engaging way.

  • Experience in geometric optimization and fabrication processes for complex geometry.

  • Skilled in researching technical solutions with the ability to resolve details through cutting-edge solutions.

  • Ability as a team leader.

  • Knowledge of products, materials, and construction methods.

  • Advanced knowledge of 3D and 2D software (Rhinoceros, Grasshopper, Revit are a must)

  • Knowledge of 2D drawing in AutoCAD

  • Knowledge of rendering software such as V-ray, Lumion, and Twinmotion.

  • Fluent in English. Italian and Portuguese are a plus.

  • All candidates must have legal authorization to work in the United States.
