FILA x Pininfarina Present Art of Blend: Global Debut of the FILA Design by Pininfarina Collection

On September 28th 2024, FILA and Pininfarina held the Global Debut of the FILA Design by Pininfarina Collection, at Nanjing Deji Plaza. This event was the first cooperation between FILA and Pininfarina - Italy's legendary supercar design company - launching the FILA AERO series of footwear and apparel characterized by sophisticated aesthetics and sports technology. The launch event took place in the “FILA AERO Art Museum” pop-up store, where renowned actor Wang Yang and guests witnessed the world premiere of the collection, demonstrating FILA's innovative spirit of continuous breakthroughs in the fields of fashion and sports.

FILA and Pininfarina are both century-old Italian brands; FILA is known for its elegance and fashion, while Pininfarina is famous for its timeless and beautiful style as well as for designing the world's most admired supercars. In this collaboration, the two brands have perfectly fused sophisticated aesthetics with high-performance sports technology to launch the FILA AERO series of shoes and apparel, bringing FILA's concept of “Make Performance Beautiful” to life, which not only embodies the elegance and power of streamlined design, but also the extreme pursuit of forged sports aesthetics.

During the event, FILA's Global Design Director , Head of Global Brand Extension Pininfarina, and Head of Product Design Pininfarina explained the design concept of the collection in detail, introducing how the three iconic Pininfarina concept model cars inspired the design of shoes, which is also a reflection on both brands' pursuit of speed, technology and aesthetics.

FILA AERO Art Space: Immersive Industrial and Sports Aesthetics Experience

From September 28th to October 7th, FILA created the “FILA AERO Art Museum” pop-up space in the outdoor plaza of Nanjing Deji Plaza. The design of the space was inspired by Pininfarina's classic concept car “MODULO” and the Pininfarina wind tunnel, which perfectly demonstrated the in-depth fusion of Italian industrial aesthetics and sports aesthetics. Inside the pavilion, FILA AERO shoes and apparel for the three major scenarios of running, golf and business were displayed, allowing consumers to experience the unique charm of high-end sports lifestyle in an immersive experience.

FILA AERO collections are inspired by Pininfarina's iconic concept cars. The FILA AERO RUNNING shoes offer runners speed and comfort, inspired by the iconic PININFARINA concept car MODULO, with a streamlined design set to minimize wind resistance and enhance runners' performance.
