During the Pistons & Pretzels event at Pininfarina’s Cambiano headquarters—part of the company’s 95th anniversary celebrations—the winners of the 2024/2025 Global Design Contest were officially announced.
This year’s competition, themed “Materiality, the Umami of Mobility,” invited final-year design students from around the world to envision the future of mobility through innovative and emotionally engaging uses of materials.
Award winners include:
Saikhom Krishnakanta Singh (National Institute of Design, India) – Project: Deo
Wang Haoyu (Strate School of Design, France) – Project: Botanist
Ankita Anand (National Institute of Design, India) – Project: Innaphi
Special Mention: Jin Woo Choi (IAAD – Istituto d'Arte Applicata e Design, Italy) – Project: Inne
The Global Design Contest continues to be a platform where emerging talent can explore the intersection of technology, creativity, and human emotion—values deeply rooted in Pininfarina’s design philosophy.
