Milan, Aprile 15th 2024 – Pininfarina unveils, on the occasion of Milan Design Week, its latest projects developed by its product design team for some of important Italian and international furniture companies. The new collections are conceived in continuity with the home design by Pininfarina vision and in synergy with the branded real estate projects managed by the architecture team. The common denominator is an approach to design that is applied to all areas of competence of Pininfarina – from car design to architecture and to product – and that is conveyed in the willingness to create an iconic design for aesthetics and performance, able to have a tangible impact on the experience of individuals on the residential environment.
FIRST COLLECTIBLE PROJECT DESIGN BY PININFARINA
Galleria Rossana Orlandi (in the city, via Matteo Bandello 14-16, Milano) Oksys is the first collectible project design by Pininfarina. The result of the creative collaboration between the architecture and product design teams, the Oksys chaise longue embodies in itself the company’s heritage, synonymous with design and innovation Made in Italy for over 90 years, as well as its vision for the future. Oksys is an oxymoronic object: it is the representation of how, in Pininfarina’s vision, artificial and natural, man and nature, are elements not opposed but, rather, complementary and part of the same logic. The chaise longue, produced in the workshops of Pininfarina in Cambiano (Turin), is the result of a single cast aluminium and is characterized by the contrast of two textures and shapes.
SAHRAI – MATERIAL RUGS COLLECTION Hall 15 Stand C19
The collaboration with Sahrai Milano, leader in innovation and in the exploration of new frontiers in the sectors of high-end carpets, marks a debut for Pininfarina in the design of this product category. The Materia Collection was conceived with the aim of discovering new scenarios through the integration of materials never used in this sector, such as wood and bright inserts on carpets. These new carpets and the adoption of new components reveal the approach to design based on constant research, and the ability to combine innovation and high quality craftmanship, values that characterize Pininfarina and Sahrai Milano. The rugs: Pura, Luce e Acqua are hand-tufted in bamboo silk, wool, and bamboo silk in relief.
