Turin, May 23, 2025 – The National Automobile Museum hosted From Myth to Future – 95 Years of Pininfarina, celebrating nearly a century of design excellence. The event brought together leaders from government, industry, and culture to honor Pininfarina’s legacy and future.
Opening remarks from government and local officials highlighted public-private support for Italian innovation. Central to the evening was a conversation between journalist Maria Latella and Pininfarina’s Vice President and CEO Silvio Angori, who reflected on the company’s evolution:
“Celebrating our 95 years,” Angori said, “means honoring a history built on creativity, innovation, and craftsmanship, but above all reaffirming our commitment to the future (…) while never losing the distinctive style that makes us unique.”
The From Myth to Future talk brought together diverse fields, all united by design culture. Featured guests included Stefano Buono (newcleo), Jesse Chao (Foxconn), Gurcan Karakas (TOGG), Jay Ward (Pixar), and Felix Kilbertus (Pininfarina), each offering insight into innovation, sustainability, and creativity.
The new book Pininfarina 95 – Timeless Beauty (Giorgio Nada Editore), written by Luca Dal Monte, was also presented. This richly illustrated work explores the brand’s values—beauty, craftsmanship, and innovation—through stories and images spanning automotive, architecture, and product design.
A highlight of the evening was the teaser premiere of Story of a Legend. Pininfarina, a documentary by Flair Media Production and Rai Documentari. Featuring figures like Piero Ferrari, Lapo Elkann, and Giorgia Pininfarina, it tells a multi-generational story of creativity and Italian identity.
Flavia Triggiani noted: “This documentary is based on a legendary story (…) from founder Battista ‘Pinin’ Farina to his grandchildren Andrea and Paolo.”
Marina Loi added: “Pininfarina’s story is unique — quintessentially Italian yet internationally renowned (…) timeless, recognizable, and enduring elegance.”
Six of Pininfarina’s most iconic models were displayed at MAUTO, including the Italian debut of the Morgan Midsummer, the first to feature the new Fuoriserie badge. The Battista Novantacinque, in Rosso Gloss carbon fiber, paid tribute to the brand’s 95 years. Also featured were the Sintesi, 2uettottanta, Sergio, and a restored Honda HP-X — a testament to Pininfarina’s design legacy and future vision.
