Orbis, Symbol of Sustainability and Harmony
The Project

A Commitment to Efficiency and Sustainability

The project was created as a testament to shared values of sustainability, innovation, and commitment to a better future.

The presentation of “Orbis” holds significant meaning, coinciding with the fifth edition of “From 100 to 5%,” Europe’s largest comparative test dedicated to electric vehicle efficiency, organized by Motor1 and InsideEVs.

During the Wednesday papal audience, a delegation of representatives from the automotive sector had the opportunity to meet the Holy Father, underscoring their shared commitment to ecological transition

The Idea

The Essence of Circularity and Harmony

“Orbis,” whose name derives from Latin, meaning “circle” or “world,” is a tribute to planet Earth and the principle of circularity as a cornerstone for addressing the challenges of transition. In designing this object, Pininfarina sought to embody the dialogue between technology and nature: a perfect circle on the outside symbolizes harmony and unity, while the dynamic, intertwined inner surfaces represent the creative tension required to build a sustainable future.

The Way

A new chapter towards a responsible Future

The creation of “Orbis” marks a new milestone in this journey, uniting the company’s vision with a universal message of hope and responsibility.

The transition to sustainable mobility is a technological challenge but, above all, it’s a cultural transformation that involves all of us. Events like ‘From 100 to 5%’ and symbolic gestures like ‘Orbis’ are essential to raising awareness and fostering confidence in a future where innovation and sustainability coexist.
