Job Summary:

Pininfarina of America is seeking a talented and motivated Junior Architect to join our Miami studio. This role is ideal for an emerging design professional who is passionate about architecture, innovation, and multidisciplinary collaboration. Working closely with senior architects and project leaders, you will contribute to projects across multiple scales and typologies, supporting the design process from concept development through technical documentation. 

The ideal candidate combines strong design sensibility, curiosity, and attention to detail with a willingness to learn and grow within an international, design-led environment.

Job Duties & Responsibilities:

  •  Support project teams throughout all design phases, from concept and schematic design through design development and construction documentation.  

  •  Assist in the development of architectural drawings, 3D models, presentations, and technical documentation.  

  • Produce clear, coordinated, and accurate drawings under the guidance of senior team members.  

  • Participate in internal design workshops, brainstorming sessions, and project reviews.  

  • Coordinate with consultants and multidisciplinary teams to integrate architectural, structural, MEP, façade, landscape, and interior design requirements.  

  • Conduct architectural research on materials, construction systems, sustainability strategies, precedents, and emerging technologies.  

  • Assist in preparing presentations, client deliverables, and competition materials.  

  • Support code research and documentation, including life safety, accessibility, and Florida Building Code requirements.  

  • Participate in coordination meetings and assist in documenting project decisions and action items.  

  • Help maintain project organization, file management, and drawing standards.  

  • Contribute to Pininfarina's culture of design excellence, innovation, and collaborative problem-solving. 

  • Other related tasks as needed to support project and company objectives.

 

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Professional degree in Architecture.

  • 0–3 years of professional experience in an architecture or multidisciplinary design practice.  

  • Strong design portfolio demonstrating creativity, spatial thinking, and graphic communication.  

  • Interested in both conceptual design and technical development.  

  • Understanding of architectural detailing and construction principles.  

  • Basic knowledge of building codes and construction documentation.  

  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.  

  • Strong communication and teamwork abilities.  

  • Eagerness to learn, receive feedback, and grow professionally.  

  • Fluent in English; proficiency in Italian, Spanish, or Portuguese is a plus.  

  • Legally authorized to work in the U.S. 

 

Technical Proficiency

  • Design & Modeling: Rhinoceros, Revit, AutoCAD, Grasshopper (preferred).  

  • Visualization: Twinmotion, Enscape, Lumion, or similar rendering software.  

  • Graphic Design: Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign).  

  • Documentation & Collaboration: Bluebeam Revu and Microsoft 365.  

  • Interest in computational design, parametric workflows, and digital fabrication is considered a plus.  

  • Familiarity with AI-assisted design tools and visualization workflows is advantageous. 

Preferred Experience:

  • Internship or professional experience in architecture, urban design, or interior architecture.  

  • Exposure to residential, hospitality, mixed-use, transportation, or cultural projects.  

  • Experience in preparing architectural presentations and visual storytelling materials.  

  • Interest in sustainable design principles, DfMA (Design for Manufacturing and Assembly), and innovative construction methods.  

  • Experience working in an international or multidisciplinary environment is a plus.
